Attention Breakfast Skippers!
Researchers tracked 29,000 men for 16 years and
found that those who regularly skipped breakfast had a
21 percent increased risk of developing diabetes, adding
to growing evidence linking breakfast to type 2 diabetes
risk. Some experts suggest that a morning meal helps
stabilize blood sugar throughout the day, while others
find that consuming a larger portion of your calories
later in the day has a negative impact on blood sugar
and insulin levels. Whatever the reasons, be sure to
start the day off right with healthy foods like oatmeal,
fresh fruit, and whole grains.
